GSA/PBS Top Leadership to Keynote at CoRE Tech 2011
Second annual corporate real estate conference focusing on technology, automation and innovation showcasing GSA/PBS top leadership at the forefront of recently launched Smart Buildings Initiative, "Fast 50."
CARLSBAD, CA, July 28, 2011 /Real Estate PR News/ -- Realcomm Conference Group announced today that Robert Peck, Lawrence Melton and Philip Klokis from the US General Services Administration's Public Buildings Service will keynote at the General Session opening at the second annual CoRE Tech which will be held on October 11-12 in Washington, DC. This networking and educational event is targeted solely for corporate real estate practitioners and will focus on automation, technology and innovation. It will provide a platform where corporate real estate stakeholders can come together to discuss and debate global best practices and solid strategies backed by real world experiences and metrics.

In this session, "ITs Expanding Role in the Future of Corporate Real Estate and Facility Management," Peck, Melton and Klokis will discuss this historic shift in the way the industry designs, builds, manages and operates commercial, institutional and corporate real estate.
Robert Peck serves as the Commissioner of Public Buildings for GSA and is responsible for the nationwide asset management, design, construction, leasing, building management and disposal for 370 million square feet of government-owned and leased space, accommodating 1 million federal workers. Additionally, he oversees an annual budget of more than $9.1 billion and a workforce of approximately 7,000. Lawrence Melton is the PBS Assistant Commissioner for Facilities Management and Services Programs and is responsible for the oversight of energy, environment, health and safety, building operations, security, lease administration, child care, small projects and reimbursable services. Philip Klokis currently serves as the CIO for PBS and is responsible for over 50 national applications as well as the day-to-day IT operations enabling PBS to carry out its real estate functions for the federal government.
