SAN DIEGO, CA, March 18, 2011 /Real Estate PR News/ -- In an interview with Business Review Europe, SK EC reveals how it has established itself as the market leader in Singapore and Korea for tunnels and underground structures.
SK E&C has a number of initiatives and programmes in place to ensure staff are constantly improving their skills and attributes. The company also has a training institute called SK Academy with the aim of improving leadership and management skills for both on and offline periodically.
"We have web-based online continual improvement programmes, which are applied to all staff for different levels and skills. A budget of SGD $900 for continuous improvement is allocated for each member of staff depending on their needs," says Lee.
SK E&C has full capacity from feasibility study to detailed design and even O&M technologies in place for major refinery projects. Alongside this, the company also has engineering experience and technology for all kinds of tunnel and underground space development from planning to commission.
"We have a specialised team (Geotask Team) for engineering of underground structures and have developed underground LNG storage technology together with Geostock from France, and Saipem from Spain and built and operated a pilot plant. Now real scale commercial LNG storage is under developed" says Lee.
