The Distressed Property Institute Names Gwen Daubenmeyer Of Re/MAX in the Hills, Certified Distressed Property Expert of the Year Gwen Daubenmeyer of RE/MAX in the Hills is presented with the top CDPE membership award from the Distressed Property Institute. The Detroit-area agent has proven her ability to assist struggling homeowners and other agents in her region through distressed property solutions, particularly short sales.

(CDPE) Member of the Year Award to Gwen Daubenmeyer team leader of The Integrity Team with RE/MAX in the Hills. This award is bestowed upon the CDPE-designated agent who exemplifies the nationwide CDPE movement to bring real solutions to distressed homeowners. The CDPE of the Year has also shown exceptional leadership in assisting other agents to accomplish the same results.

The metropolitan Detroit area has been among the regions hardest hit by the housing market decline. As home prices continue to drop, Detroit-area homeowners have increasingly found themselves in negative-equity situations in which they owe more on their mortgages than their homes are worth.
