It sits on the top of a hill guarded by the very imposing medieval chateau. Situated just 20 km south east of Angouleme, Villebois-Lavalette is a dynamic town that is incredibly popular to both locals and tourists. It has a full range of services and facilities and every Saturday morning hosts the local farmers market under the eaves of the open market hall.
